The new 2,500-square-foot, full-service center, located at 2945 W. Republic Road, is expected to open in the second quarter of 2007 and will feature a full-service lobby with safe-deposit boxes, four drive-up lanes and a drive-up automated teller machine.
“We look forward to opening this banking center on Republic Road,” said Great Southern President and CEO Joseph W. Turner in a news release. “We have many customers who live and work in this fast-growing area and our new facility will provide them with even greater convenience and accessibility.”
The bank is acting as its own general contractor on the project, which is being designed by Hood-Rich Inc.
Officials did not disclose the estimated construction cost of the facility, which will be the bank’s 14th Springfield location.
Great Southern has total assets of $2.2 billion and operates 37 retail banking centers and 180 ATMs in southern and central Missouri. Shares of the company’s common stock (Nasdaq: GSBC) closed Jan. 2 at $29.51.[[In-content Ad]]
