Great Southern Bank

Posted online
Great Southern Bank is acting as its own general contractor for a 2,500-square-foot south-Springfield branch, with architecture and engineering by Hood-Rich Inc. Crews continue work on the facility, which is slated to open in the second quarter.

“They’ve completed the basic framing and are completing drying it in, and then starting on the interior,” said Doug Marrs, vice president of operations with Great Southern. The new bank will be Great Southern’s 13th Springfield location. It will have a full-service lobby with safe-deposit boxes, a drive-up automated teller machine and four drive-through lanes. Bank officials did not disclose the construction cost of the facility, but the estimated cost, according to a building permit on file with the city of Springfield, is $350,000. [[In-content Ad]]
