The Columbia loan office will be Great Southern’s fourth to open in the last three years; others are in Overland Park, Kan., St. Louis and Rogers, Ark.
However, this isn’t Great Southern’s first foray into the Columbia market. In August, Great Southern Travel acquired Columbia travel agencies Canterbury Travel and Tiger Travel.
Columbia banking veteran Curt Morgret has joined Great Southern as manager of its Columbia-market operations, which will temporarily be located at 27 S. 10th St.
Morgret, who has more than 18 years of lending experience, most recently served Regions Bank’s central Missouri region as senior lender and commercial sales manager. The Columbia LPO is responsible for commercial lending in Columbia, Jefferson City and the Lake of the Ozarks area.
“We are excited that Curt has joined our team,” said Great Southern President and CEO Joe Turner, in a news release. “His familiarity with the central Missouri market and his lending experience will be a tremendous asset as we build relationships with area clients.” [[In-content Ad]]
