Great Southern adds second Lee's Summit branch

Springfield-based Great Southern Bank opened a second Lee's Summit banking center yesterday at 150 S.E. Todd George Parkway.

Great Southern has served the Lee's Summit community since 2006.

The 2,000-square-foot bank will be open six days a week and will have a full-service lobby, offices, safe-deposit boxes, teller area, drive-through lanes and a drive-up ATM, according to a news release.

Branch manager Alicia Roling, who helped open the bank's first Lee's Summit location, manages a team of five associates at the new center.

"Our second Lee's Summit banking center ... provides our customers more access and convenience and gives our expanded associate team an opportunity to develop even more relationships," said Great Southern President and CEO Joe Turner, in the release.

Great Southern Bank has $3.3 billion in assets and operates 72 retail banking centers, including six in the Kansas City metropolitan area, in Missouri - including six in the Kansas City metropolitan area - Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska.

Shares of the publicly traded company (Nasdaq: GSBC) were trading today at $23.20 as of 10:35 a.m., compared to a 52-week range of $7.03 to $23.74.
