Great Game of Business launching social sectors initiative

Great Game of Business Inc. is working with former Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks CEO Katie Davis to form an initiative that works directly with public and nonprofit organizations.

Now the owner of Dream Big Consulting LLC, Davis will create workshops and training programs designed to help organizations in the social sectors adapt Great Game of Business’ open-book management system, according to a news release.

A workshop titled ?Great Game Experience for Social Sectors is scheduled March 21-22 at Great Game of Business’ 2401 E. Sunshine St. headquarters.

While at Big Brothers Big Sisters, Davis helped implement open-book management — a system where employees see the financials and have a stake in the outcome.

The first year the nonprofit launched its open-book management program, Big Brothers Big Sisters’ 2015 revenue exceeded $1 million, a 22 percent increase from 2014. During 2015, the organization matched 257 bigs and littles, a 17 percent bump from a year earlier, according to the release.

Davis stepped down as CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters last year to spend more time with family, officials with the organization said.

Greene County also has implemented the open-book management system. Great Game of Business has hosted over 6,000 companies from around the world interested in the program. Typically, the company’s clients have been in for-profit business sectors. The new program seeks to improve its work with the social sectors.
