Behavioral health services nonprofit Great Circle reported to the state it would lay off 117 employees in the St. Louis suburb of Webster Groves.
Great Circle last month announced it would close a residential treatment program at its Webster Groves campus. Earlier, three of the nonprofit's employees at the campus were arrested on suspicion of abusing a child or failing to report it.
The layoffs notice to the state indicated the impacted employees, such as youth care specialists, would be removed from their positions starting in May.
