Branson-based Grand Crowne Resorts has relocated its Springfield call center to the New Sunshine Technology Center, 3534 E. Sunshine St., allowing it to double the center's work force.
Effective Sept. 1, the call center which employs 100 began a five-year lease in 10,300-square-feet of space at the center previously occupied by an O’Reilly Automotive call center, said Galen Pellham, a commercial agent with Murney Associates who brokered the deal. He noted the space was marketed at $6.50 per square foot triple net, but he declined to disclose the finalized lease rate for Grand Crowne.
Grand Crowne previously occupied less than half as much space at 225 E. Primrose St., said Shelly O'Brien, Grand Crowne marketing and operations manager.
"We were just looking for a bigger space to expand," she said.
O'Brien said the call center will gradually add jobs, starting with its grand opening and job fair tomorrow from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Grand Crowne began operations in 1981 as Surrey Vacations Resorts Inc.[[In-content Ad]]
