Governor calls for board, commission members

Posted online
Gov. Matt Blunt is asking Missourians to consider applying for Missouri’s various boards and commissions.

The governor has appointment authority for more than 200 boards and commissions, covering a wide range of topics including health, transportation, public safety, education and law. Some boards require specialized skill sets, sponsorship by the applicant’s state senator, or advice and consent of the Missouri Senate.

“I encourage Missourians to explore our state’s boards and commissions and apply for an appointment that allows them to use their God-given talents to help enhance the services we deliver to Missourians each and every day,” Blunt said in a news release.
