GoPro founder and CEO Nick Woodman is about to take the No. 1 position on the Bloomberg Pay Index, according to Bloomberg Business.
The index is a daily ranking of the nation’s highest-paid executives and values an executive’s award pay package at the end of the company’s fiscal year-end closing price.
Woodman, who was granted 4.5 million restricted stock units valued at $284.5 million at the end of 2014, will take the top spot from Cheniere Energy Inc.’s CEO Charif Souki, who was awarded compensation valued at $281 million at the end of 2013.
Information released by GoPro in November indicated Woodman received a 2013 salary of $800,000 and a $1 million bonus. Woodman is his company’s largest shareholder and has a net worth of $2.4 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
