Google’s parent joins $1T club

Alphabet Inc., Google's parent company, became the latest technology firm to exceed a $1 trillion market capitalization.

It hit the mark after adding $8 billion in value yesterday.

MarketWatch cited Alphabet's strong advertising expectations, expansion into cloud computer and self-driving car markets, and acquisitions.
