Google says its self-driving cars are ready to roam, with the latest prototype set to hit the roads of Mountain View, Calif., this summer.
While the company previously equipped Lexus vehicles with self-driving censors, the new vehicles mark the first time Google's own autonomous autos will leave the lot, according to Fox Business.
About 25 cars will be released in the test. Each will have a "safety driver" on board to monitor the vehicle, which have speeds capped at 25 mph.
