Google's driverless cars hit the road

Posted online
Google says its self-driving cars are ready to roam, with the latest prototype set to hit the roads of Mountain View, Calif., this summer.

About 25 cars will be released in the test. Each will have a "safety driver" on board to monitor the vehicle, which have speeds capped at 25 mph.
