Google is experimenting with a new service known as Contributor that lets U.S. users pay monthly subscriptions to eliminate ads on certain websites, according to Bloomberg.
Initial partners sharing revenue with Google include technology news service Mashable Inc. and satire website Onion Inc., according to Bloomberg.
Google is sending out invites for the feature, which will charge consumers $1 to $3 a month.
Bloomberg reports 10 sites are testing the service.
