Google shares fall as ad growth slows

Google's third-quarter revenue rose 20 percent but fell below Wall Street expectations as growth in the technology giant's core advertising business slowed and expenses continued to rise.

Google also missed on earnings, posting $6.35 a share - less than expected $6.53, according to USA Today.

The company's revenue was $16.52 billion during the quarter.
