Google parent reports first revenue drop

Google parent company Alphabet reported its first revenue drop to date.

Second quarter revenue was $38.3 billion, a 2% dip from the same time in 2019. Analysts expected $37.4 billion in sales.

Advertising revenue fell 8% during the quarter to $29.9 billion.
