Google hits back at pay inequality accusations

Google is refuting claims it systematically underpays female employees.

Eileen Naughton, the company's vice president of people operations, said in a Tuesday blog post the technology giant uses "extremely scientific and robust" annual analyses to help calculate fair salaries.

Just days ago, the U.S. Department of Labor alleged the company allows "systematic compensation disparities against women."
