Google given permission to test delivery drones in US

Alphabet, Google's parent company, received permission from U.S. regulators to test its delivery drones in the country.

The company is seeking to develop drones that can deliver parcels to customers as soon as next year.

The compromise is Alphabet will be required to share its drone testing data with the government and partners to help develop safety rules.
