Google Fiber expands biz product footprint

Google Inc. already is expanding its business fiber Internet options in the Kansas City market.

Two days after announcing Google Fiber for Small Business would be available in six neighborhoods in Kansas City, Kan., and central Kansas City, officials added south and northeast Kansas City, the River Market and several spots in Wyandotte County, the Kansas City Business Journal reports.

The new service costs $100 per month for 1 gigabit speeds, according to Google mailers obtained by the business journal. The company has not laid out its timeline for when the service would go live.

In April, Google launched a pilot program for its business service, and it runs through the end of the year.
