Google enters competitive cloud computing market

In this digital age, one of the tougher aspects of starting or building a business can be building computer networks and setting up servers. Public “clouds” have made it possible for companies to rent online computing services like servers, data storage and software.
 
On Wednesday, the New York Times reported Google is joining the fray to compete for corporate and government computing business. The search engine behemoth announced Tuesday the pricing, features and guarantees of its cloud services for businesses.
 
With this announcement, Google enters into a market previously dominated by technology giants including Amazon, IBM and Microsoft. Google is reducing by 10 percent the prices for its cloud services in order to attract startups, as well as large corporations.
