A 23-year-old Google employee is foregoing high rent in the Bay Area by living in a 128-square-foot truck in his employer’s parking lot.

According to Business Insider, the software engineer began forming plans for the unconventional housing choice while interning at Google in 2014 and paying $65 a night, or roughly $1,950 a month – for the cheapest corporate housing option available.

With Google providing food and showers on its campus, plus paying the employee’s phone bill, his only fixed cost is $121 per month for vehicle insurance.
