Google donating $100K to KC school district

Google's plans for a $1 billion data center in Kansas City come with a donation for a local school district.

The company announced it would invest $100,000 to support North Kansas City School District’s alternative education STEAM center that teaches science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.

Google is launching the Skilled Trades and Readiness program in Kansas City to help students explore new career paths.
