Google car hits bus, first time at fault

After more than a million miles of autonomous driving over the past six years, Google's self-driving car is at fault in an accident for the first time.

In mid-February, a self-driving Lexus SUV owned by parent company Alphabet was testing the Mountain View, Calif., streets when it hit a bus while traveling at 2 mph.

The accident was caused when the Lexus moved to the left lane to avoid sand bags placed there.

There were no injuries.
