Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced that Google agreed to pay nearly $1.4 billion to the state in a data privacy case.
Paxton's office sued Google in 2022 for allegedly tracking and collecting private user data.
Google did not admit wrongdoing or liability in the settlement, according to a company spokesperson.
