Google agreed to pay $135M to 2 former execs

The Wall Street Journal reports Google agreed to pay $135 million in exit packages to two former top executives.

Andy Rubin and Amit Singhal left the company after being accused of sexual harassment. They reportedly covered up the reasons for their exits, according to a complaint filed in a lawsuit viewed by The Wall Street Journal. Rubin developed Google's Android software, and Singhal was the head of Google's core search team for 15 years.

“There are serious consequences for anyone who behaves inappropriately at Google,” a Google spokeswoman said in a statement. “In recent years, we’ve made many changes to our workplace and taken an increasingly hard line on inappropriate conduct by people in positions of authority.”
