Goodyear working on spherical tires

Goodyear revealed it's working on a spherical rubber tire concept it says would allow self-driving cars to more easily navigate.

The tires would be able to move in any direction and would connect to the car using magnetic levitation rather than axles.

According to CNNMoney, the tires would theoretically result in a smoother ride - potholes would no longer be a problem - and wear out less quickly.
