The Branson amusement park’s “An Old Time Christmas” celebration, which runs through Dec. 30, will be featured on the ABC show Dec. 1. Good Morning America weather anchor Marysol Castro will broadcast live from the park from 6–7 a.m.; the show will air live in some locations and from 7–8 a.m. on KSPR 33, Springfield’s ABC affiliate.
The segment is part of “Good Morning America Lights Up the Holidays” – a roundup of what the show has dubbed the top five holiday events in the country.
Silver Dollar City’s festival features a $1 million light-and-sound display that includes a five-story special effects Christmas tree and park performers.
The public is invited to attend the taping, during which Branson singer Andy Williams will perform. Attendees are asked to arrive between 5 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. The first 500 people who donate a new, unwrapped toy will each receive a free ticket to “An Old Time Christmas.” The toys will be given to Love INC., a national organization that will hand them out to local families.[[In-content Ad]]
