The team from Springfield Janitor Supply, above, finishes up its round as one of 53 teams competing in the 19th annual Citizens Memorial Healthcare Golf Tournament on June 6 at Silo Ridge Golf Course and Country Club in Bolivar. The four-person teams competed to raise money for the CMH Medical Excellence Scholarship, which provides financial aid to future doctors, nurses and health care professionals. The fund has provided more than $1.6 million in aid to more than 300 students. Members of the first-place teams in each flight received a set of Callaway irons; second-place and third-place teams won a Callaway driver, and fourth-place teams won Callaway wedges.
The team from Great Southern Bank – from left, Chris Hanner, Brad Heeren, Ryan Story and Jamie Hathcock – were the winners of the third annual OTC Foundation Golf Tournament at Hickory Hills Country Club. The tournament raised $17,543 for the fundraising arm of Ozarks Technical Community College; the money will be used for student scholarships.
Springfield event venue Belamour LLC gained new ownership; The Wok on West Bypass opened; and Hawk Barber & Shop closed on a business purchase that expanded its footprint to Ozark.
