Goldman Sachs CEO diagnosed with lymphoma

Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein announced this morning he has been diagnosed with lymphoma and will begin chemotherapy treatments.

In a letter to Goldman Sachs employees, clients and shareholders, he said his form of lymphoma is "highly curable."

The nine-year chief executive said he will continue to lead the firm and "work substantially." He will cut back on previously scheduled travel as he undergoes treatment in New York.
