Goldman Sachs agrees to $3.9B settlement with Malaysia

Goldman Sachs reached a $3.9 billion settlement with the Malaysian government.

The settlement would resolve claims related to the bank's role in the corruption scandal at 1Malaysia Development Berhad, the sovereign wealth fund.

The case is related to bond sales Goldman Sachs arranged and underwrote for 1MDB. The U.S. Justice Department alleges $4.5 billion was stolen from the fund.
