Golden Corral

A new Golden Corral restaurant is scheduled for completion in mid-September. Bolivar-based Shelenhamer Construction is the general contractor for owner/developer KJM Properties. Larry Nelson of Springfield is the architect. Engineers are Heidemann|Associates Inc., civil; and Pine Creek of St. Louis, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Mike Thornbrugh is the project manager for the 10,300-square-foot eatery, which will seat about 380 diners. The estimated construction cost for the wood-frame building is $3.5 million, with financing by Liberty Bank. The exterior will have brick veneer and vinyl siding, and there will be about 175 parking spaces on the site.
