After securing a buyer in late 2025, inbound/outbound call center and service agency Gold Mountain Communications LLC has opened a second location in Springfield.
The company, which now does business as Gold Mountain by Hugo in honor of the acquisition, opened its new location at 1570 W. Battlefield Road, Ste. 120, in April, said Janell Scott, vice president of talent and delivery for the company. Gold Mountain by Hugo’s original, nearly 30,000-square-foot office remains in place at 1701 W. Sunshine St, Ste. K., where it employs more than 350 people, officials say.
The company recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new location with Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce ambassadors.
Andie Okonkwo, head of brand and community for Hugo Inc., said Gold Mountain's Springfield growth was due to a customer service program with a new client that expanded quickly.
"Within a matter of months, it became clear that our Sunshine facility didn’t have the capacity to support the additional team members the program required," Okonkwo said via email. "Opening a second location lets us meet that demand while making room for future growth."
The new 17,100-square-foot location on Battlefield Road has the capacity for 225 employee stations, Scott said, along with leadership offices, training and conference space.
Gold Mountain by Hugo signed a lease for undisclosed terms for the Battlefield Road space, said Scott.
"The new facility represents additional capacity, allowing us to support new programs while continuing to grow our presence in Springfield," Scott said.
