Gold Mountain Communications adds jobs, plans expansion

Posted online
Springfield-based telemarketing firm Gold Mountain Communications LLC has announced plans to add 140 jobs and commit $540,000 in capital investment.

The company, which handles inbound and outbound calls, would employ 320 after adding the new jobs, for which Gold Mountain plans to begin hiring immediately.

Gold Mountain also will be leasing additional space from Davis Properties adjacent to its Elfindale Center office, 1701 W. Sunshine St., Ste. K, according to a news release.

“Our expansion is due to the aggressive growth of our clients, our outstanding staff, the quality skill set of the labor force in the Springfield area, and the support of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce,” Gold Mountain President Hank Seevers said in the release. “Without any one of these, we would not be in a position to expand so rapidly.”

Seevers could not be reached for comment before deadline.

The Springfield Business Development Corp., the chamber's economic development arm, was instrumental in Gold Mountain's June 2009 startup in downtown Springfield - where it started with only a handful of employees - and guided the company toward approval of $376,000 in Enhanced Enterprise Zone tax credits in June 2010, helping to fund a $960,000 investment in additional staff and an Elfindale Center lease, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

“Gold Mountain Communications is an excellent example of creative leadership and entrepreneurship,” SBDC President Tom Babik said in the release. “SBDC is honored to be a part of Gold Mountain Communications’ vision and growth."

Gold Mountain is seeking employees with at least six months prior telemarketing or sales experience. Applications can be submitted through the company's Web site.
