'God particle' theorists receive Nobel Prize in Physics

Francois Englert of Belgium and Peter Higgs of the United Kingdom have been selected to receive the Nobel Prize in Physics.

The two discovered the Higgs boson, aka the "God particle," which theorizes how subatomic particles acquire mass, according to CBS.

The scientists' theories are said to be key in explaining the origins of the universe and the building blocks of matter.
