GNC closes 4,500 stores for a day

Health and wellness retailer GNC yesterday closed 4,464 stores to revamp in-store pricing for vitamins and supplements.

The move is meant to fix falling sales and a declining stock price as the retailer competes with rivals Costco and Amazon.com.

The stores were scheduled to reopen today.
