General Motors plans to move its international headquarters to Singapore from its current Shanghai location.
The change, expected in the second quarter of 2014, comes as the auto manufacturer looks to shake up its operations abroad to focus on emerging markets, according to Fox News.
About 250 of GM’s 300 employees in China will remain there, and its 245 workers in South Korea will also remain in place. It plans to employ about 120 at its new headquarters in Singapore, where it hasn't yet chosen an exact location.
