General Motors is investing $4 billion to expand vehicle production at three plants.
The investment includes an expansion at the company's Fairfax Assembly Plant in Kansas City, Kansas.
General Motors plans to add production of a gas-powered Chevrolet Equinox SUV, in addition to a current initiative that would prepare the facility to build the Chevrolet Bolt EV.
