General Motors Co. posted a quarterly net loss over charges from the sale of its Opel unit in Europe to France's PSA Group.
The company's third-quarter net loss was $3 billion, compared with earnings of $2.8 billion a year earlier.
Excluding one-time charges, the company earned $1.32 a share, above analysts' expectations of $1.14.
