GM sales unscathed by recall crisis

CNNMoney reports that General Motors’ sales are cruising along, despite the scandal surrounding its delayed response to faulty vehicles that caused at least 13 deaths.
 
The automaker posted sales in March up 4 percent over the same time last year, with retail sales up 7 percent. Commercial fleet sales to rental-car and government agencies were down 5 percent last month.
 
Although the sales figures were higher than expected, GM still trails other automakers’ sales, which reported even better increases in March.
