On Monday, automaker General Motors announced another recall, this one for more than 1 million of its SUVs. Brands affected include Buick, Chevrolet, Saturn, GMC and Cadillac.
The problem for most of the vehicles is in the side-mounted airbags. Faulty wiring can cause the airbags to not deploy in the event of a side-impact collision. The Cadillac XTS recall involves overheating brakes, which has resulted in two fires, according to CNNMoney.
Recently, GM has had to recall 1.6 million vehicles for problems with the ignition switch that has been linked to at least 12 deaths. GM was aware of that problem as early as 2004 but only issued the recall in February, according to the article.
