GM recalling 56,000 Saturns

Posted online
CNNMoney reports General Motors announced Tuesday that it is recalling 56,000 2007 and 2008 Saturn Aura sedans because of a problem with the gear-shift cable.

GM stated the gear cable can break while the car is being driven. If a break occurs, the car will not shift into park but the gear selector will display that it has. GM reports there have been 28 crashes and four injuries as a result of this defect.

Owners are being advised to take their vehicles to a dealership to have the cable assembly replaced.
