General Motors raised its 2026 earnings guidance to between $13.5 billion and $15.5 billion, or $11.50 to $13.50 per share.
The shift comes as the company received a $500 million tariff refund, according to CNBC.
In the first quarter, the company reported adjusted earnings per share of $3.70, beating expectations of $2.62. Revenue during the quarter was $43.6 billion, lower than the $43.7 billion analysts were looking for.
