In an attempt to end a worker strike, General Motors promised United Automobile Workers 5,400 jobs and more than $7 billion in U.S. investment over four years.
The offer reportedly includes a 2% wage increase for UAW workers in the first and third years and 2% lump sum payments in the second and fourth years.
Current health care benefits would be preserved, according to a source familiar with the matter.
