GM posts net income drop

General Motors posted fourth-quarter net income of $1.8 billion, a drop from $6.3 billion a year earlier.

Company officials cited $500 million in foreign exchange losses.

GM’s projected earnings per share for 2017 are $6 to $6.50. That compares with $6.12 a share for all of 2016.
