GM offering Bass Pro gift cards to people who fix recalled cars

Own one of the 2.6 million General Motors vehicles involved in the recall over the faulty ignition switches but haven't yet gotten your car to a dealership for repairs? If you'll take it in by Jan. 1, GM will treat you to a little something from Bass Pro Shops.
 
Or to dinner, a movie, a bit of online shopping or to a few essentials from Wal-Mart - the automaker is offering $25 gift cards to restaurants, movie theaters and retailers, including Bass Pro, to the more than 1 million car owners who haven't yet gotten their autos fixed.
 
Faulty ignition switches can cause affected vehicles to unexpectedly shut off and are linked to at least 30 deaths. Since the February recall, GM has attempted to contact owners through other channels but blames owner confusion and complacency for the tepid repair response, according to CNNMoney.
