General Motors today is expected to announce the closure of a Canadian plant in Oshawa, Ontario.
The factory manufactures Chevrolet Impala and Cadillac XTS vehicles.
Media reports indicate 2,500 unionized positions and 300 salaried employees would be affected by the closure.
