GM announces new recall of 2.7M vehicles

General Motors on Thursday announced yet another recall of vehicles for multiple defects, according to CNNMoney. At least one of the problems is linked to more than a dozen wrecks and two injuries.
 
Wiring problems in older-model Chevrolets, Pontiacs and Saturns affect the cars’ brake lights, cruise control, electronic stability control and panic brake assist, CNNMoney reports.
 
GM states it is absorbing the $200 million charge to repair the flaws that the automaker has known about since 2008.
