Global wine production slumps to lowest level in 60 years

Global wine production dropped to its lowest level in 60 years in 2017, according to the International Organisation of Vine and Wine.

The 2017 harvest produced 25 billion liters of wine, down from 26.7 billion in 2016 and 27.6 billion in 2015.

The organization cited subpar harvests in key markets such as Europe and South Africa.
