The size of the global sports industry may drop by $1.6 trillion by 2050, according to a new report from the World Economic Forum.
The report pointed to climate change and individuals’ physical inactivity as the causes.
Total worldwide revenues from sports-related businesses are estimated in the report to rise to $3.7 trillion in 2030 from $2.3 trillion last year.
