The global hotel development pipeline hit an all-time high in the fourth quarter, according to data from Lodging Econometrics.
There were 15,820 projects and 2.4 million rooms in the pipeline at the end of the quarter, according to the report. Those numbers were up 4% and 3%, respectively, year over year.
The U.S. project count was a record 6,378 at the end of the fourth quarter.
