An international nonprofit that's based in Kansas City, Kansas, has named a new CEO with Springfield roots.
Ashley Hufft has moved into the role permanently at Unbound after leading the organization in the interim since August. She's the first woman to lead the organization, which works to help bring people out of poverty.
Hufft grew up in the Springfield area and graduated from Glendale High School, according to a spokesperson.
