Tickets for the breakfast event start at $250 and seating is limited, said Miles Ross, political director for the southwest Missouri congressman’s campaign committee. Giuliani is scheduled to speak at 9:30 a.m. and meet with local media before leaving from the Springfield-Branson National Airport, Ross said.
“I think he’ll be a very interesting and dynamic speaker,” he said. “A lot of people are very interested in hearing what he has to say.”
Each year, Friends of Roy Blunt typically organizes one or two fund-raisers featuring a high-profile speaker, Ross said. Another presidential candidate – former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney – spoke at last year’s event.
